About the circuit
The Russian round of the 2020 Formula 1 Championship will take place on The Sochi International Street Circuit. It’s a track that is connected with the public road networking around the Olympic Park and stands as the fourth-longest track in the F1 calendar.
Based on long straights and fast corners, the track allows the drivers to go to the speeds of over 200mph. It runs clockwise with 18 turns, among which 12 are right-hand turns and 6 run left. The starting line of the circuit is next to a railway station and the race moves towards the edge of the Russian Coast while giving the view of the Black Sea coastline.
Next up comes the circle of Sochi Medals Plaza, the Bolshoy Ice Dome turn and then the track lets cars maneuver around tight corners which will lead them to the northern side that has Olympic Village. The finishing line then remains two tricky 90 degree turns after the Adler Arena Skating Center – all to make sure that the winner wins by enjoying the best track possible!
