About the circuit

The Saudi Arabia race is the third race in the Middle-East, a region that isn’t new to racing and entertainment.

The Formula 1 drivers will race each other on the dark streets of Jeddah, one of the country’s biggest cities, which looks over the Red Sea. The track is expected to hug the seafront, providing a stunning natural backdrop for action.

With only 80% of the lay-out finalized, it is still a surprise how the final circuit will look. The aim is to host a Grand Prix with a lot of speed and enough opportunities for overtaking. The street race will be a temporary race for 2021 and 2022, before the Saudia Arabia Grand Prix will move to the capital Riyadh, where they are building a new circuit from scratch within the entertainment complex Qiddiya.
